About

em-billHi! I’m Emily but you may think of me as Emele, I use that name for most of my online activity. Why Emele you may be thinking? Well, it’s a combination of my first and middle name… but I’ll keep you guessing on what my middle name actually is ;)

What I do and Where You Can Find Me…

I’m a (now part-time/hobbyist) photographer with a passion for capturing details, color, really just anything that catches my eye and “speaks” to me! From flowers and nature to wildlife and travel scenes… and beyond! I’m also re-awakening my passion for arty/crafty things and am venturing into watercolors…

I sell home decor and gift items at Zazzle and also participate in micro-stock photography at Shutterstock. For all of my photography info head over to the Emele Photography website.

I also run the Creative Artists Blog where I feature artists, photographers and graphic designers who sell their work through print-on-demand sites and Etsy.

By day I work for a SEO company, I’m a remote worker meaning Billy (that’s the African Grey in the photo) gets me at home all day so he can come out and play, and I can potter around with the photography and other creative things during quiet times!

Even More About Me…

I’m turning 30 in September 2014 and live in Wiltshire, UK with my boyfriend Dan, African Grey parrot, Billy and pet rats. Between the ages of 18-25 I lived in Crete, Greece with my Dad and menagerie of stray adopted kitty cats. They’re still out there so mentions and photos of Crete often occur here on the blog.

In a previous life (aka several years ago!) I made handmade cards and gifts that I sold through my website, it was through Emelegifts that I “discovered” photography. I had bought my first digital camera purely for taking product photos but somewhere along the way I discovered the macro button and that I could make money with my photos… the rest is history…
