About

Hi! I’m Emily but you may think of me as Emele, I use that name for most of my online activity. Why Emele you may be thinking? Well, it’s a combination of my first and middle name… but I’ll keep you guessing on what my middle name actually is ;)

What I do and Where You Can Find Me…

I’m a photographer with a passion for capturing details, color, really just anything that catches my eye and “speaks” to me! From flowers and nature to wildlife and travel scenes… and beyond!

I sell fine art photography prints through my Etsy store. Home decor and gift items at Zazzle and also participate in micro-stock photography at Shutterstock. For all of my photography info head over to the Emele Photography website.

You can find me at Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.

I also run the Creative Artists Blog where I feature artists, photographers and graphic designers who sell their work through print-on-demand sites and Etsy.

More About Me…

I’m 26 and English. I live in Wiltshire, UK with my boyfriend but am lucky enough to be able to take extented vacations to Crete, Greece… When I was 18 I moved to the Greek island of Crete with my Dad and cat, Charlie. I spent 8 years there with assorted stray kitty cats joining the family, but decided to move back to the UK after I met my man – A long distance relationship can’t be long distance forever after all! I still go back “home” to Crete for extended visits whenI can, particularly during the Winter months as I’m not a huge fan of British winters, hmm who is?!  So you see, in a way I have the best of both worlds!

In a previous life I made handmade cards and gifts that I sold through my website, it was through Emelegifts that I “discovered” photography. I had bought my first digital camera purely for taking product photos but somewhere along the way I discovered the macro button and that I could make money with my photos… the rest is history!

Dreams and Hopes…

I have big dreams and high hopes

Top of the list is to get Emele Photography going in a wholesale direction, supplying small gift shops around the UK with my prints.

I have tentative plans to convert a campervan and travel around Europe in it. I wouldn’t mind having a canal boat either, but how I combine both of those and a business I’m not too sure ;)

Later in life I have thoughts of owning a smallholding with converted barns around a courtyard, chickens and a rooster called Roy… and perhaps a cafe and gift shop… But I’m thinking very “long-term” there!

Phew! I hope you feel like you know me a bit better now and that I didn’t bore you! Enjoy the blog and feel free to comment, it would be nice to get to know like-minded, inspiring, interesting people!
