Scott came home one October night in 2008. My Dad rescued him when he was seen trying to get onto the road. Dad knew it would end in disaster, a small kitty on a Greek road, so home he came!
A week later I had another phone call from my Dad – Another kitten had turned up, this one having walked to my Dads office all on his own! So home came another cat in a box to join the gang… a name was choosen, Lloyd it was!
The kittens were firm friends within half an hour of meeting and from then on were always together – Hunting, exploring, playing, sleeping, pretend fighting.
Scott became known as Scroat – Because he was so tiny. He somehow got given the “official” name of Scott Joseph Scroat! Lloyd somehow ended up with a nickname of “His Lloydness”. Because they were adopted brothers the pair soon became known as “The Scroat Brothers”!!
One day last year in September 09, Scott was ill so Dad took him to the vets. I was here in the UK so was told all this via text and email.
Turns out the vet had the back door open in the examination room (It’s Greece, don’t ask.) and Scott freaked out and ran away. He hasn’t been seen since. We hoped he would walk home. Maybe he will still turn up. We haven’t given up on you S.J. Scroat.
As for Lloyd, he’s fine and has become used to not having his brother about. He’s dominant male cat of the household now and my bestest boy at posing for the camera as you can see!
